General Information
In accordance with California state law, applicants for Kindergarten must be age 5 by November 2 of the year that they are applying..
School Year: We have a traditional, 180-day, school year. School begins the first Tuesday after Labor Day in September, and ends in June.
School Hours: Our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs are Full-day programs.
Pre-Kindergarten - 12th grade school hours: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Curriculum: Calvary Chapel Christian Academy uses the Christian curriculum from Bob Jones University Press. The standards that each child will learn throughout each year can be found in the Scope and Sequence here .
Discipline: The school uses a warning/progressive step system for correcting behavioral problems. Repeat offenders will be sent to the Principal for prayer, exhortation and further disciplinary procedures up to suspension or expulsion from school.
If a student is suspended from the school for a predetermined amount of time, the parent is still responsible for full payment of tuition. If a student is expelled, there is no refund given on registration fees, or monthly tuition paid up until that time.
Uniforms: Uniform shirts will be purchased with the initial deposit given to the school. Students will be given six (6) uniform shirts in red.
Spiritual Life: Bible study and prayer are encouraged and each class begins in the morning with a required devotion time. During the school day, students are encouraged to seek the Lord’s will in every situation in their lives. Children attend a mandatory chapel and worship time each week.
